Elementary Education
Windsor Unified School District Offers two different pathways for elementary-aged students.
One pathway starts at at Margie Mejia Preschool, before moving to the main campus at Mattie Washburn Elementar for TK-2nd grade. Mattie is described by it’s families and staff as a friendly, warm campus with a family focus and atmosphere. At Margie and Mattie, your child will get a strong foundation in education that will serve them the rest of their lives.

From Mattie, students then move on to our 3rd through 5th grade school, Brooks Elementary, which boasts a stunning library building, dedicated staff, and innovative programs focusing on the social-emotional health of all students.
The other pathway is through WUSD’s bilingual charter school, Cali Calmecac Language Academy. This preschool through 8th grade school boasts a bilingual, bicultural and biliterate educational model, with many students going on to receive the California Seal of Biliteracy. As a charter, Cali does not guarantee admission, and there is an admission process with several requirements.
