With seven educational alternatives to the traditional classroom setting for students, our staff feels blessed to offer the academic and social support needed for those students who wish to take advantage of the unique opportunities available to them. Our focus on service learning and life beyond the classroom, together with our community partnerships (i.e., Santa Rosa Junior College, Sonoma State University, Sustainable Living Projects, Truancy Court), enables us to work with a unique group of students who often have a maturity and resiliency to work hard both in and out of the educational setting. Besides our partnership with the community, we work closely with parents and students to offer individualized learning plans that will best meet their needs. Whether it’s the 20:1 ratio at Windsor Oaks Academy, the 15:1 ratio of GED/CHSPE and Drop-Out Prevention, or the 1:1 ratio of Independent Study or Home and Hospital, staff and administrators work together to provide a plan of action to support the whole student.
