Windsor Middle School is blessed with one of the finest middle school facilities in the North Bay region. The campus was built in 1997 and includes a full size gym, a large multi-purpose room, a state-of-the-art library media center, a soccer/softball field and is adjacent to a Boys and Girls Club and a spacious Town of Windsor park with more play fields and tennis courts. The Foothills Regional Park is a short walk from the campus and is used regularly by our Natural History class and our Physical Education teachers. The school includes grades six through eight with approximately 1,000 students on campus. The school is well known for its exemplary music program and many other innovative programs. It was awarded the California Distinguished School award in 2001 and the California Golden Bell Award in 2004. Instructional ProgramAll students at WMS are provided with an enriched learning program that goes beyond the core curriculum in language arts, social studies, mathematics and science. Electives are offered in the areas of art, intervention in reading and math, health, foreign language and piano keyboarding, band, chorus and strings. |
