Mattie Washburn Elementary School is one of Windsor Unified School District's seven sites, serving 549 Kindergarten and 1st graders exclusively.

Mattie Washburn provides free onsite daycare with active parent participation, an award-winning reading intervention program, a supportive counseling program through Mattie's Playhouse, and a full-day six-hour program balancing academics, social, and emotional needs.

Kindergarten Registration Requirements

Age 5 as of December 2, 2009, birth certificate, immunization records, proof of residency.

Pease print out the registration form, fill it out and bring to Mattie with all other required documents for registration.

Kindergarten Registration

We will start kindergarten registration on Thursday, February 4th, Friday, February 5th, Monday, February 8th and Tuesday, February 9th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at Mattie Washburn School. You will need to bring birth certificate, proof of residency, social security number and immunization records. A Parent Information Night will be held on Wednesday, February 3rd at 6:30 PM in the Multiuse Room at Mattie Washburn School. All parents are welcome to attend and hear about the wonderful programs at Mattie for your kinder student.

In order to be eligible for kindergarten, children must be age 5 as of December 2, 2010.
