Cali Calmécac Language Academy is an award winning, nationally recognized, Two Way Bilingual Immersion School for students in grades kindergarten through eighth grade. Students learn to understand, speak, read and write Spanish and English from highly qualified bilingual teachers.

Students from throughout the Windsor Unified School District and beyond are eligible to attend if they begin in kindergarten or first grade. Our enrollment of 980 students is comprised of approximately 50% students from Spanish speaking homes and 50% of the students from homes where English is the dominant language.

The school offers a positive social and academic environment with the advantage of native speakers of both languages that enhances cross-cultural understanding and appreciation. All students have the opportunity to achieve academic success and proficiency in two languages to better meet the challenges of their future in a global society.

Cali Calmécac Language Academy welcomes strong parent support and requires 12 hours of parental involvement each year from each family. The partnership among parents, community members, school personnel, students and alumni, creates a family atmosphere of cooperation and respect that promotes the dignity and self-respect of each student as well as a strong sense of community and belonging.
